As part of a land-grant university, the University of Minnesota Law School has always been committed to public service. With the support of the Robina Foundation, the Law School extends this commitment by creating a seamless path from admission to full-time employment for students interested in pursuing public interest careers through the Robina Public Interest Scholars Program. Program and Scholarship OverviewRobina Public Interest Scholars benefit from: Directed guidance and counseling from a public interest career counselor;Guaranteed summer funding for unpaid public interest internships;Special consideration for the highly competitive Robina Post-Graduate Fellowship;Membership in a community with service-oriented peers and structured social gatherings each semester;Along with other public interest-oriented students, scholars will have the opportunity to volunteer, be mentored, engage in summer internships, and take public interest coursework; andLifelong, alumni support for a career in public serviceProgram EligibilityThe applicant must be an entering first-year JD law student for fall 2024 at the University of Minnesota Law School.Applicants may be citizens or permanent residents of the United States. International students are eligible to apply, but if selected, will be responsible for any applicable scholarship taxes.Application RequirementsApplicants must already be admitted for the incoming class of 2024. The application is available on the admitted student website under Affordability & Financing. 鈥婽he University of Minnesota Law School Robina Committee will review applications. The Committee will also consider previously submitted admissions materials. Application TimelineApplication Deadline: March 15, 2024Notification Date: Before April 15 |
